Masters scholarship available

‘Save New Zealand For Your Children’ (provenance and designer unknown) was produced for or by the Forest and Bird Protection Society, and is now held at Archives New Zealand. It was one of a series of New Zealand Railway posters dating to the 1940s.

We are delighted to announce a call for applications for a new Masters scholarship as part of the Royal Forest & Bird Protection Society’s Force of Nature Centennial History Project (2020).

The Force of Nature Masters Scholarship is a one-off, $2000 scholarship to give a graduate student an opportunity to contribute to the centennial history of Forest & Bird. The student will enrol for a research-only Masters in The Centre for Science in Society, Te Herenga Waka (Victoria University of Wellington), working with Associate Professor James Beattie.

For information about eligibility and the application process, see here. Applications close August 1.
